We are a small team of versatile dance teachers that serve the Baltimore and DC area. We will come to your home and provide lessons in a judgement free environment. Get ready to have fun and learn how to look like a natural dancer! We will assess your ability as a couple and work to improve your dance skills. Your teacher will ensure you feel confident and comfortable taking your first steps together as a happy couple! We offer first dance, father-daughter, mother-son, and wedding party choreography, as well as traditional dance lessons.

Christen founded In Home Wedding Dance Lessons & Choreography in NYC over 7 years ago. When her friends started getting married, they asked her for help to make them feel comfortable during their first dance. Going to their homes seemed natural and comfortable for the couples. This is how In Home Wedding Dance Lessons & Choreography started! When she moved back to her hometown of Baltimore she began building her business. We have welcomed additional dance teachers to the team in order to serve a wider area including Baltimore, Annapolis, D.C., Alexandria, VA and surrounding areas.

We believe your first dance is one of the most memorable moments of a wedding. It should be a fun, relaxing, enjoyable experience! Our lessons will bring you and your partner even closer. And, no! You don't need any experience! There are so many fun dances that can make your day extra special. Father-Daughter dances, Mother-Son dances, and even bridal party dances can really set your reception apart! It brings us joy to get to know our clients and create masterpieces especially for them.

Christen
FOUNDER

Christen has a Masters of Arts from NYU in Dance Education. She teaches dance in the public school system as her full time job. She is a well known regional musical theatre choreographer and was nominated for a Helen Hayes award for "Outstanding Choreography". She has been choreographing wedding dances for over 7 years and absolutely loves it!
Julia
DANCE TEACHER
Julia L. Williams has been training as a dancer for twenty years and now leads the brand new Dance Concentration at her alma mater high school. Julia recently graduated from Catholic University in D.C. with her Bachelor’s of Music in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance. She has been a choreographer for shows such as Ça Ira and The Tenderland and has taught at several studios in the DMV Area.
Patricia aka "Pep"
DANCE TEACHER

Pep is a performer, choreographer and dance teacher in the DC area. A 5 time Helen Hayes nominee, pep has performed at various DC theatres including The Kennedy Center, Keegan Theatre, and Toby's Dinner Theatre. She has choreographed professionally and at the high school level.

Rachel
DANCE TEACHER

Rachel has 30 years of dance training and performing experience, from the musical theatre stage to the NFL and WNBA arenas. She currently choreographs musicals for high school, teaches adult fitness classes and does personal training. Rachel prides herself in being an excellent instructor and it is her goal to make couples feel confident and help make their first dance a memory they’ll never forget!

Amanda
DANCE TEACHER

Amanda Kaplan majored in performance dance at East Carolina University. She has many years of professional performance and teaching experience! She was on the Washington Nationals "Natpack" Team and is currently in the process of planning her own wedding! She cannot wait to help you prepare for your big day. You are going to shine on and off the dance floor.
